About Catch Advisors

What does Catch Advisors do?

Catch Advisors is a vendor-neutral IT advisory firm that helps CIOs, CTOs, and VPs of IT make confident technology decisions. We evaluate, recommend, and negotiate technology solutions across cloud, cybersecurity, unified communications, contact center, networking, and AI — at no cost to the client.

How does Catch Advisors make money if there's no cost to the client?

We are compensated by the technology providers we recommend, similar to how an insurance broker works. Our compensation is consistent regardless of which provider the client selects, which ensures our recommendations remain vendor-neutral and aligned with your best interests.

How is Catch Advisors different from an MSP?

An MSP (Managed Service Provider) manages your day-to-day IT operations — helpdesk, patching, monitoring. Catch Advisors provides strategic IT advisory — helping you decide which technologies to adopt, which vendors to use, and how to negotiate the best terms. We complement MSPs rather than compete with them. Many of our clients work with both an MSP and Catch Advisors.

How is Catch Advisors different from a VAR?

A VAR (Value-Added Reseller) sells specific products from specific vendors. Their recommendations are limited to what they carry. Catch Advisors is vendor-neutral — we evaluate solutions from 500+ technology providers and recommend the best fit for your organization, regardless of brand or manufacturer.

Where is Catch Advisors located?

Catch Advisors is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, and serves clients nationwide across the United States.

What industries does Catch Advisors serve?

We serve technology leaders across healthcare, legal, financial services, manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, retail, professional services, hospitality, and more. Any organization with complex IT needs and a desire for vendor-neutral guidance is a fit.

Working With Us

What does a typical engagement look like?

Engagements start with a free assessment where we evaluate your current technology environment and identify opportunities. From there, we provide vendor-neutral recommendations, manage the RFP and evaluation process, negotiate pricing and contracts, and oversee implementation. The entire process typically takes 4-12 weeks depending on scope.

Is there really no cost for advisory services?

Correct. Our advisory services — including assessment, vendor evaluation, RFP management, contract negotiation, and implementation oversight — are provided at no direct cost to you. We are paid by the technology providers, and our compensation doesn't change based on which provider you select.

How many technology partners does Catch Advisors work with?

We maintain active relationships with over 500 technology providers across 20+ categories including unified communications, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, contact center, SD-WAN, SASE, IoT, and mobility. This breadth ensures we can find the right solution for any IT challenge.

What is the Apex client portal?

Apex is our proprietary client portal that gives IT leaders real-time visibility into their technology contracts, vendor spend, project roadmaps, and optimization opportunities. It includes an AI assistant that understands your IT environment. Apex is included at no additional cost for all Catch Advisors clients.

Can you help with contract negotiations?

Absolutely. Contract negotiation is one of our core strengths. We leverage our market intelligence and volume relationships to negotiate better pricing, more favorable terms, and stronger SLAs than most organizations can achieve on their own. Our clients typically see 15-30% savings through our negotiation process.

Technology Solutions

What is UCaaS and do I need it?

UCaaS (Unified Communications as a Service) is a cloud-based platform that combines business phone, video conferencing, team messaging, and file sharing into a single subscription. If your organization uses separate tools for calling, video, and messaging — or if you're still on a legacy phone system — UCaaS can simplify your communications and reduce costs. Leading platforms include RingCentral, Dialpad, Microsoft Teams, Vonage, and Zoom.

What is the difference between SD-WAN and SASE?

SD-WAN (Software-Defined WAN) optimizes network traffic across multiple connections for better application performance. SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) combines SD-WAN networking with cloud-delivered security services — including firewall-as-a-service, secure web gateway, CASB, and zero trust network access — into a unified platform. SASE is the evolution of SD-WAN for organizations that want converged networking and security.

How do I choose the right cybersecurity solution?

Start with a security assessment to identify your specific gaps and risk profile. Key considerations include your compliance requirements (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS), the size and complexity of your environment, your internal security team's capabilities, and your budget. Most organizations benefit from a managed detection and response (MDR) solution as a foundation, with additional tools layered based on specific needs.

Should we move to the cloud?

Most organizations benefit from some form of cloud adoption, but the right approach depends on your workloads, compliance requirements, and team capabilities. We help you evaluate which workloads are cloud-ready, design the right architecture (public, private, or hybrid), select the best providers, and plan a phased migration that minimizes risk and disruption.

How can AI help my business?

AI delivers the strongest ROI when applied to specific, well-defined problems — automating repetitive tasks, improving customer service with chatbots, enhancing decision-making with predictive analytics, or streamlining document processing. The key is starting with a readiness assessment, identifying 2-3 high-value use cases, and piloting before scaling. We help you cut through the AI hype and focus on what actually delivers measurable results.

What is the difference between CCaaS and UCaaS?

UCaaS handles internal business communication — phone calls, video meetings, and messaging between employees. CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) is designed for customer-facing interactions with features like intelligent call routing, queue management, IVR, workforce management, and customer analytics. Many organizations need both. Some vendors offer combined platforms, while others specialize in one.
